Tonight, as I was walking out the door, I realized that the majority of my photo gear is at my parents’ house. I was going to a newish spot in Phoenix that, from what I heard, is quite beautiful.

I can now say first-hand that it is.

No better evening to practice what I preach with my in-phone camera and editing apps.

This one was shot with DerManDar and edited with Camera+.

Bless this little camera.

But, lucky for me, Gregory Moran‘s is. That, and web design. And dealing with an overly excited me. And being patient. And fixing things that I break.

So here I am. Slowly but surely moving in to my new home and digging through thousands and thousands of photographs to bring you what, so far, amounts to the best 29…

I’ll use the blog to dump my most recent explorations – most recently, geometry and patterns and textures. And I’ll be posting a lot from whatever camera I have with me (likely from the iPhone 4s). While my DSLR has been resting its weary body (six years can do a number on a camera) for the past few months, I have been taking advantage of whatever medium I can get my hands on and making it work for me. I’ve recently rekindled my love of film and started a new love affair with in-phone photo editing (yes, Instagram included).

It’ll be a journey. And I hope to grow from it. And I hope you’ll share things with me and teach me what you have learned, too.
