Tonight, as I was walking out the door, I realized that the majority of my photo gear is at my parents’ house. I was going to a newish spot in Phoenix that, from what I heard, is quite beautiful.

I can now say first-hand that it is.

No better evening to practice what I preach with my in-phone camera and editing apps.

While my DSLR has been resting its weary body (six years can do a number on a camera) for the past few months, I have been taking advantage of whatever medium I can get my hands on and making it work for me. I’ve recently rekindled my love of film and started a new love affair with in-phone photo editing (yes, Instagram included).

It’ll be a journey. And I hope to grow from it. And I hope you’ll share things with me and teach me what you have learned, too.
